The moveable puddleView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 13 of 13 messages posted.
“The thread to bison reminded me to post this. On recent trips I have been asked where I got my "moveable puddle" from. I don't know, it was a gift. However, here is a silnylon knock-off, looks identical and is probably lighter than the one I have. I love mine, weighs nothing at all and holds over a gallon of water in camp. http://www.trailquest.net/dlgcwatersac.html p.s. I should add that I have purchased a lot of gear from this person, she has some good stuff. last edited: 4/19/05 1:55:41 PM” 1:53:37 PM 4/19/05 “I have one that I got from Binks. That arrogant prick. How dare he bring it to the bar for me and give me a deal on it. The cheek of it all.” 2:01:43 PM 4/19/05 “Brawny makes some nice stuff. I have a couple of her items.” 2:02:48 PM 4/19/05 “Damn that's pretty cool. I picked up the only one I could find at REI, it cost more and holds far less.” 2:04:18 PM 4/19/05 “I had her tent, but didn't really like it too much. I guess that's where I draw the line if comes down to lightweight.” 2:05:01 PM 4/19/05 “I bought her "gram weenie" rain suit. Love it.” 2:32:44 PM 4/19/05 “Tech-- that looks pretty cool!” 2:50:38 PM 4/19/05 “Dancing Light Rocks! Not only do they make great gear, they take PayPal... Ken” 3:15:46 PM 4/19/05 “Coghlans....$6.95” 3:17:50 PM 4/19/05 “ ”3:19:36 PM 4/19/05 “I just bought one at Campmor the other day. It'll be coming to the Smokies with me this weekend. :)” 7:05:25 PM 4/19/05 “When I'll need to transport water to a dry camp I bring along a few plastic two-liter soda bottles. They weigh almost nothing when empty, are pretty easy to lash to a pack, and the original cost included soda of my choice.” 8:25:23 PM 4/19/05 “top dawg, this isn't for porting water to a dry camp. I would use a few Platypus bladders for that (take up no room when empty unlike your soda bottles). It is for moving a gallon of untreated spring water from the spring, to your camp. Then you can pump/treat from it, wash your pot/bowl using untreated water away from the spring (which you should always do) etc. Only one trip to the spring instead of many.” 8:08:56 AM 4/20/05
