that was a waste of 3 minutes. There must have been some serious problems with the teleprompter. A monkey could read better than that

OK, I think I've seen elementary students have presented more professionally than that! I wonder how hard the others were laughing at him afterwards?

I was reading the comments by other people--they are right-- he ought to go on the David Letterman show (or something else like that.) and get all he can from his current 15 minutes of fame.... :-) At the very minimum, it will show him as a "real" person, instead of a complete blithering idiot! (They said nothing was wrong with the teleprompter-- he just wasn't prepared to do much ad-libbing.

Having been on panels and other things where I had to be in front of an audience and was being filmed, I can tell you that it is quite nervewracking!

But then again, even the biggest of the news anchors have had their shares of trouble--it's funny to see early clips of news anchors or actors and actresses in their "pre star-dom" days.. :-)

Hey, I gotta sympathize with that kid. I remember my first radio broadcasts. I might even still have them somewhere. I was so stiff, it wasn't funny (not to me anyway :)) But, it's hard. Nerves really get to you. But, this is very commonplace. Why did they single this kid out? This was on a student run station, no? This is where these guys and girls get their experience. It's the nature of the beast to screw up on a regular basis.

Of course, this kid was particularly bad, but he should still be able to bury this tape 6 feet under and not hve it peddled all over the internet. Oh, well. Better luck next time, dude!

Sarge-- that 2nd clip was even better!
Good thing I wasn't drinking anything!

Oh my-- The guy said more "And uhs" than actual weather info... LOL I wonder where he is today?
