I am celebrating by going camping and rappeling at Garden of the Gods this weekend with a few close friends.

Garden of the Gods is cool. Even if our westward bound backpacking couple can have eyes only for Colorado (and each other... hehehee)

Love the Shawnee National Forest!! If you geocache, there are some cool ones. One a little bit northeast of GoG introduced me to a real cool area last summer, rock arch (or bridge?). And a big stone cave area where some nasty people used to meet during Civil War times. If interested, I can give you the geocache page or copy the info here.
