I don't have any tatoos.

It is my experience that most people who get tatoos have low self esteem.

I have no clue Carlette, it's perplexed me for years as to wtf it is.

I loved tatoos when I dated a v sexy girl with a dragon on her lower back. Beeyatch dumped me though so I've gone off em.

I need to keep an eye on buddy system.

He seems to have a sense of humor. His lack of self esteem must stem from a deeper tradegy :-)

I don;t think so. That boob is obviously fake and in the raised position; a clear indication that the rub area would not be encumbered sans support system.

Further, it's pretty self-centered to make a proclamation of ones "bad-assed status" based purely on an ill-advised area of injection of ink material. While the marked area will facilitate as an average level conversation piece, it is very clear that the owner of this tat is nothing more than an attention whore -- no offense, of course.

I once had a girlfriend with a tattoo of a sea shell on the inside of her upper thigh. I kid you not, when you put your ear against it you could smell the ocean.

Two TATs I thought were really cool....

Biker had a tat on the end of his stump (Upper Arm)...it was a dotted line and the words..."Cut Here"

The other was a Tat on the right ass cheek of a guy I knew in the military...it was a circular USDA Prime stamp.....(Yeah, Yeah...go there...I can handle it..duffuss's...Communal showers in Army Barracks...sheesh....)

Yeah but she's smart cause when she's 80 no one will be able to see the tat cause her boobs will like a tube sock with an orange in it.

Gathernomoss, what is that symbol?

i don't know what it's origin is sass. was searching GatherNoMoss one night and came upon it. The site it was at had the following underneath it...so I'm not sure if the guy drew it or if it goes back farther.
We can`t have progress without change, though unfortunately the reverse is not true. Change that disregards the changes that happened before, is counterproductive and -more often than not- leads to chaos or needlessly reinventing the wheel. So change has to be done within the limits of reason. And it has to be documented, because in order to enjoy our freedom, we should always know why we do things the way we do. Norms have to be flexible enough to allow for change, otherwise they slowly become dogma and they have to be abandoned. So it is better to change them before they no longer portray and support reality. But the change should be based on what we already know is possible (or not).

I've saved it on the off chance I can one day find out its true origin and meaning..if there is one. It'd be my luck to have that symbol in a tat and it actually mean something like........stinky butt and feet.

So, if you decided to change your tattoo, would it be progress?

I like it, btw.

actually....changing my tattoo is exactly what I'm thinking of. Incorporating my existing one into a new one...quite possibly that symbol.

I have a book for you to read: "Until I Find You" by John Irving. It's an absolutely great book and has a lot of good (in my case unsuspected) information about tattoo artists and hookers...in case you ever decided to become one or the other:) This is the same guy who wrote "Cider House Rules" and "The World According To Garp".

It's an interesting litle design, I'll give it that, but I have to agree with Tilt. I thought it was a stylized yin-yang from the start. That would kinda go with the saying you said was posted with it too. One thing balancing another out and all...
meangreen

weird but I've never "seen" it like the yin yang..but yea it does now that you mention it. I've been seeing it as motion..ie: rolling stones gather no moss...don't sit still...keep moving etc etc.

I've emailed the guy at the site where I found it. I'll let you know if I get any response as to wtf?

the beauty of the abstract is that it means what ever you want it to mean to you. That's the point.
If you reduce it down to it's simplest description, it's just a squiggly line.

What does your squiggle mean to you?

I know how I interpret it.

The question is....if its truly an abstract yin yang...then thats not what I'm going for with it. Thereby throwing my whole tattoo feng shui off!!
