We sold our souls today. 1920 Riverwood is ours! http://www.realtracs.com MLS# 655889. There are a few landscaping changes we're gonna make, and a couple of updates, but we love this old house. Housewarming party to be announced!

congrats to the both of you. Nice house. How odd though. I was on my way to look at a house over on Milton which is less than 2 blocks away from your house.

That is a great neighborhood.

Don't be in a rush to make changes. Take your time & think about them them. This will also leave you some dough for things that have to be fixed. A house isn't as bad as a boat, but takes your money. Good news is a high probability that you're just investing it for your future.

We went to celebrate at a restaurant we both really love, Flemings, where an old friend of ours happens to work as a server. We had a gift certificate from Angies old boss. We probably ran up a $200.00 tab and were presented a $35.00 tab after dinner, dessert, cocktails, wine, etc. Then went out with friends who were celebrating a birthday. Whew, A long night. Thanks for the congrats. We'll see y'all at the house warming party!
Cheers,
B&A

Congratulations!

My friend, who recently finalized her divorce, found a house, but was outbid (she didn't feel 100% in love with it anyways).

Her house is sold pending the new owners selling their house. In the meantime, I told her to keep looking until she finds the right one for her and her 3 kids... ;-)

It's too bad--because the house she bid on seemed to be in a nice neighborhood-- but if it didn't feel like the right fit, then I guess it wasn't meant to be. Her little 3 year old daughter even told her she had a dream that they didn't get the house (2 days later someone made a higher offer.)...

Enjoy your new house!!! Take time to settle in before you start on any major projects. You might find that it needs less work than you anticipated. :-)

Living Room pic is tremendous...when the owners move all their stuff out (and before
you move in)...you oughta have a sock hop!

Just an idea :)

Congrats.

Nothing like owning a piece of your own property! :)

I will run up Currahee soon. Definatly before summer hits. 3 miles up 3 miles down. What they don't often mention is that it was 3 miles to Currahee, 3 miles up, 3 miles down, 3 miles back to camp! Brutal..

Congrats! Owning a house is so gratifying. One of the first things I did in my house when I bought it was to paint my bedroom black. No more off white or antique white like in a rental! And every improvment is like money in the bank because it is only bettering your home.

If I could find a farm in my price range I'd go for it. lol.

Damn, it's been an awesome weekend.

Got my family up here for the weekend.
Got to chase my daughter around.
Got the lot.
Just heard from the bank and mortgage got the green light.

Treebait, when you get home toss a for sale sign in the front yard and let's see what happens.

WOOT!
