freeze-dried food pack
When we did the Fall Creek Falls trip in Sipsey last fall you and the Mrs. showed me some very compact vacume-packed freezed-dried food. I'm going on a trip later this year that could use the compact-ness of the food you showed me.
What was the name of the company, please if you can tell me.
'Got any links? Thanks.

Miss you guys and Sipsey crew.

precision - I think he had an enertia meal. You can search on enertia on this website and get a critique of all of their meals.

Thanks.

Ahh man, you're still alive after posting the photo of your son; Whew! I'll bet that was another "bad mustard" moment.

Cheers.

Yes precision it was an enertia meal. They are great! Switchback speghetti is my favorite and we always add dehydrated meat to it. The cheesecake is really good too. We started out with a sample pack and you get one of almost every meal.

$85 seems kind of steep for 24 meals... :| I guess I should learn to dehydrate my own eh?

Brandon sells it cheaper. It seems like it was around $50.00 when we bought it but now he's selling it for $69.80.

With snow, I would go.

With ice, I will stay at home.

Icewater springs was a real mother #&%!$er to get down after a sleet storm last Feb.

well with the seeps and creeks there is some ice...you'll want some sort of traction device, and if you bring "ice walkers" i'll push you down myself...lol...and we won't be going up Rainbow Falls.

I can second that Icewater Spring to Newfound Gap with ice on the trail is a #&%!$. The ice was approx 1-3" thick the week after Christmas.

Jan or Feb is fine so is the end of Dec
