Backyard Urinal

“Real men prefer to pee outdoors, right? I mean, there's nothing better than to have the freedom to step outside your house and have a nature piss. Now since I live in town, this is kind of hard to do, with neighbors all around.

I'm trying to come up with a solution to this. What I'm envisioning is some kind of urinal in an "L" shape, with the entrance on one end of the L, and the urinal at the other end. I'm thinking some kind of bush or hedge about chest high (surrounding the L, so that the L itself would be a small walking space between the walls) would provide privacy, and some kind of pee loving plant would absorb and decompose the pee.

My question is, what kind of shrubs/bushes provide good year-round "coverage", and what kind would resist daily pees? And what could I get that would be the right height at the get-go. And, what kind of ground covering plant would thrive on pee and break it down?

Any other thoughts on this? Thanks.

I use monkey or mondo grass as the ground cover and border. Monkey grass loves the rich nitrates of a good outdoor pee.

“Well when you're outside you could do what I do when watching football games on TV. Just wear a Depends. As far as bulding at outdoor urinal. That would kinda be self defeating. The whole point is to give the woods a good hosing right out there in front of God and everybody. Ahhhhhh.....the freedom of taking a good leak in the woods.

Just go in your back yard without building anything. If anyone sees you just smile and wave like nothing is going on. If police show up just swear up and down that you didnt do it and that those people are crackheads.....It usually works pretty nicely.”

“A bar I used to hang out in had a sewer clean-out port in the rear alley. The line for the mens RR got so long on busy nights that we'd take the cap off the clean-out, put a funnel in it, and use that as our "used beer depository." We'd put a few trash cans around it, not for privacy, but so the police wouldn't see it and bust us for peeing in public.”

“A better option is the transmission funnel with a hole drilled i the wall. If you are worried about the spalshing outdoors, fill a 5 gal bucket 1/2 way with pee gravel (no pun intended).”

“Be careful! Urine will attract butterflies, bees and who knows what else in that area for several days after deposit. You don't want to get yourself stung.

Lee, the point is I don't have much privacy in the backyard. I've never been much of a fence person, so I thought this idea would have some merit.”
