You might have seen it on TV or during a halftime show, I've found myself a new hobby. Forest and I are having a great time learning new tricks, it's challenging both of us, people enjoy stopping to watch as they walk by, or people come outside from the apartments and hospital near the field where we practice to watch. We're nowhere near competing yet, but we're getting better - someday maybe we'll find ourselves in competition.

Many times when Forest jumps off my back or chest I get scratched up, I'm covered in scratches. In my research I found that most people prefer a neoprene shirt for protection and added traction for the dog.

I know we have several kayakers and probably some divers around here - does anybody have an extra wetsuit top/neoprene vest laying around that they'd be willing to sell me at a reasonable price? I know there's other places to check, such as dive shops - which we don't have many of in Minnesota, those of which are closed at this time of year. So I thought I'd ask here. It does not need to be in great condition, as I don't plan on using it in the water. I don't know what size I need, but it doesn't need to fit me perfect either, I don't know what size they come in, but I wear a size "Large" t-shirt.

Thank you.

I've posted this picture before, but it shows Forest catching his frisbee:

we are very active with our bulldogs - obedience, agility, therapy work

it's all great time spent

Forest does agility too, though we never got very serious into that - it wasn't something we could really do by ourselves either without a course, we did set up our own weave poles and hurdles and stuff, that was a good time - I think that helped in teaching him freestyle frisbee tricks too.

I wanted to teach my dog to do that, but for some reason she won't even try to catch a Frisbee.

It took me a while when Forest was a puppy to teach him to catch a frisbee, since then we only used it as a toss and fetch game, only in the last month have we been doing freestyle tricks, each trick takes several hours to teach and perfect - now he's doing vaults, reverse vaults, overs, leg weaves, etc. it impresses many people, lol - today we got two comments as a couple walked by they were like "wow he's good" and on my way home a lady stopped me on the road as she drove by, she said "I just had to tell you that you have one of the smartest dogs I've seen"

we haven't competed yet in agility. i built a course, mainly from PVC. weaves, hurdles, see-saw, and a hoop jump.

we hope to start competing by this fall

i think frisbee would be alot of fun, but i think an agility course is the limit for bullies

He's an English Shepherd - if you say BC that's close enough, but not quite right.

Well that was easy enough - I just had to call the diveshop owner personally (I'm still trying to figure out why we have a diveshop and a surfshop when we're nearly geographically as far away from the ocean as possible) within a few minutes he was there, and I got an old rental for $5

With all the lakes and cold weather y'all have up there, water skiers enjoy extending the ski season by wearing Neoprene. Also, Lake Superior ain't very warm. Lots of stuff to explore at the bottom of the big lake, and no pesky white tips to deal with.

I don't think there's many surfers in this town though...

My dog is still to young to truly play fetch. Pretty much I throw her a frisbee, ball or fetch stick. She catches it then decides to play keep away with it.

That is really cool simer!

I just got back from the diveshop(as I just mentioned) the guy there didn't really understand what I needed the neoprene vest for until I desribed exactly what I did with the dog, then he was like "are you the guy from over by the hospital"
"yeah"
"ahh, I was watching you... this morning actually, that's awesome."

Dude, back when beavertails were the rage, I was hotdog'n my bonzer egg on Vermillion when I spied a couple of sweet honeys angling for walleye. I hit the glide man, I hit the glide!

Cool dog, Simer. Does he still hump Khatru? (or was that the other way around? OR... was it stikmon's leg?? LOL)

simmer was saying that there are not very many surfers in town. I was being my odd self and relaying a story about how I may have been surfing on Lake Vermillion. The following web site supplied the lingo.

you mean you didn't know the surfer lingo yourself - i figured you spent some time on the waves yourself.

To set things straight, Khatru was humping Forest, Forest didn't understand what was going on so he gave it a try, by humping Khatru's head - that was the only time in his life that he's ever tried to hump anything.

Videos I took today

We're both very out of practice, It's been over 6 months since we've both worked together much on frisbee, but I wanted a few videos to show people.
