Anyone here been? Yes, I'm too lazy to read past threads at the moment. I enjoyed Yosemite so much that I'm eager to get another "big" trip in soon.

Anyway, curious as to what your experiences were like. Maybe it could be a TT trip?

Thanks

Twinkle Toes, there may be a big trip out there in August, don't know if it'll still be on but we've been working on trying to get a group together.

Didn't you watch that dumb movie a few weeks ago? The park blew up.

Winter is probably so beautiful there. Harsh but beautiful. I want to see a wolf! No grizzlies please :)

Twinkle, the days will prolly be warm, nights cool. If it happens, it would be an 8 day trip.

No actual wolf, but wolf kill site. Elk remains.

More winter pics linked in report.

Great pictures Aero. Nature uncensored...dang.

8 days? 8 days backpacking? Or a few days backpacking and a few days base camping with dayhikes?

Sounds awesome. Although, after campfood (backpacking dehydrated everything) for 5 nights and 6 days recently my stomach was in such a foul state I don't know what would happen after 8 days!

I'm definately interested in the trip. Though, I would most likely need a lift from whichever airport. Please keep me posted. Is it on the trip page?

It's beautiful in August.

But the griz are usually out in force too.

Hey Pathman! I've been on a few trips to the yurt with Arden and Erica! We used to have a group that he took in to Canyon. He'd pick us up at Mammoth in the snowcoach and we'd go through Norris and end up at his Canyon camp. We haven't been for a few years now, but it sure was fun!

Yeah, that's a classic trip! Arden took us to the some of the places it looks like you guys went; Washburn Hot springs, Dunraven Pass, mud volcanoes, Natural bridge down near Lake...

We went several times in the early- to mid-90s with a bunch of friends and a lot of beer!

Eating like a king in a yurt, sauna and hot shower. Nothing like beer and Vitamin I with a short sauna to loosen the muscles.
