I need some more recipes/ideas!

I am thinking about doing a Gorp/trail mix section on my Freezerbag website....I have recipes I do off the top of my head...but I'd like yours too!

If it is a cold recipe, you can give cup measures or equivalants like "1 12 oz bag". If it is a baked trail mix please give measurements.
Also, if anyone has any recipes they'd like to share for desserts/breads/bars let me know..or hey, any recipes that I can convert!

I checked my Wal Mart (Lynnwood) and two Safeways (Everett and U Village.) : (

I'm working on a biscuits and gravy recipe, using cooked at home then frozen sausage crumbles. But it would have to be eaten right away (next morn.) I haven't had it on the trail yet. Maybe I'll play with it next weekend when I'm at Kalaloch.

They need foil packs of sausage and ground beef too. Then life will be swell. : )”

“They make ground beef..but it is NASTY!!!! ;-)
Btw, they do make freezedried sausage patties (Mt. House). They actually are pretty good!

“I made the mistake of buying a bunch of these at Big Lots. The jerky is fine, nothing wrong with it, but these little packs came with a stick of cheese as well. Ugh. The last time I had one, I ate the jerky and tossed the cheese.

I guess it might make good bait though.”

“I make my own Blue Mountain Bear Mush.

½ box of couse-couse, hand full of dried blue berries or other fruit, a good shot of whole dried milk, brown sugar. Put it all in a bag and add water. Sorry I don’t have definite measurements for ya.”

“I just put the recipes up along with a nice sounding granola recipe that was sent to me by another poster.
I have been a freezerbag fanatic for now 4 years? I am sooooooo lazy on the trail..lol!
I used a piece of fleece for years as a cozy-I use a hard cozy in iwnter though..keeps the food hot. Summer isn't so important though. I do like antigravitys gear's cozy's though.”

“Yeah I thought about getting the one made for the quart size ziploc baggy, but I feel a round one might be easier to eat with while the bag is inside it. Easier to get to everything. I do like the idea of no clean up.
I thought about getting one custom made for my snow peak trek 900 so that it is a nice snug fit and I can have my stove put and pan all concealed so that it doesnt make a sound!

I just bought that kit so dang it Im taking it with me for now and will use that to boil the water in and to store stuff in ;)”

There's a gorp recipe I've been wanting to try... White chocolate chips, hazelnuts and dried cranberries.”

“di, TJ's has a trail mix variety that has pretty much that in it, with some cashews instead I think. Has white and dark choc chips. It has an angel on the bag.”
