Forgive me if this has been posted already, but I searched for it on ursack threads and didn't see it.

The military has requisioned all of the material used for Ursack - so they can't make any of them. If it will help keep our troops alive, I'm all for it. It must be tough for the folks who own the company, and the folks that want Ursacks. It gives just a glimpse of what it was like in WWII.

THey are producing tiny Ursacks-with fabric scraps. My buddy Marzsit bought one about a month or two ago.

Thanks for the heads up.
A friend of mine was looking to get one soon. Looks like he needs a plan B.

Anyone know where I might be able to borrow one? I'll be in Banff this August, above treeline and in dispersed camping areas, and I don't really want to carry my Garcia

I thought garcia was dead?

anywho i am sure you will be fine without one. I have done tons of camping in bear country and have never had problems with bears trying to get my food. just put it in your tent with you.

Funny, when I said "Alive!" I meant Bear, but it looks like I mean Jerry Garcia! LOL!

Banff isn't too far from Seattle actually. And a kick ass place too.
