in "pretty hate machine", trent cites prince, as well as public enemy and a few othres, as major musical influences. "closer" was his version of a prince song. compare the lyrics and it makes sense: "i wanna fck you like an animal/i wanna feel you from the inside...you get me closer to god"...completely anomalous to nin lyrics, which are dripping with existential angst and sacrilege but would fit right in with the pre-jehovahs witness princes sacred/profane bent

“I was astounded that Disturbed is playing the smaller venues and that they are able to pull off the two night shows. I'm going to have to wait to see them when they make the second leg of the tour which will probably be headlining the big venues. I hate it when great concerts fall on work nights. I want to go see Matisyahu but the closest he's coming on a night off is 4 hours away.”

Bob your head like you're driving over a rocky road while mouthing the chorus the second time it comes around? Maybe squint your eyes while tight lipped and looking around knowingly? Hide under a blanket coming up long enough to notice some college kid looking at you like you're his best friend, trying to get a piece of that action? Do you stand in front of the speakers thinking these are the best seats in the house while simultaneously thinking "damn, I'm going to pay for this later, ... and it's really uncomfortable."
