I am trying to put together and publish my own (local) hiking magazine. I need a name for this baby! Make your suggestions here. I know the TT peeps will give me some good ones!

Some of our initial thoughts:
Switchback (there already is one)
Trailhead
Trail Posts
WA Hikes
Boots
Trails
Get Out
Beaten Path
Hikes

Any other ideas? suggestions?

I don't care for Switchback if it's already taken. Trailhead sounds great! Trails not so bad. Get Out? Hmm, not so sure on that one. Hikes? Maybe.

What's the focus of the zine, Di? Where to hike in WA? Trail reports and such? That might help us give you better suggestions.

How about:
Waypoint
Pack Facts
Terrific Terrains
Miles Under Boot
Following the Skyway
Xtreme Xplorer
Hikes and Trails
A Midsummer Night's Jaunt
Wilderness Walking
Nature by Foot
Let Your Boots Do the Walking
Trailside (probably taken)
Outdoor Packsion (Passion)
Mountain Strides

Let me know if you need someone to write about footwear! :)

heh.. well if you put a monthly cooking column in it.. I might give you rights to a certain phrase.. since I like you!

hMmmm.. but a name for the mag.. if it is going to focus on local stuff..

Do you have a local place.. that you really like the name of?.. that is somewhat eccentric?

Maybe an Indian name that sounds really kewl??

I would be surprised if anyone has a copyright on TrailTalk. It is used in lots of different places already. Even here, it isn't the name of a company or a product or even a website. It is just the name of the discussion board of this website.

What are the names of the local area that might be appropriate as part of the publication name?

I've been wanting to get out west anyway. I'll see if there's any trips planned. I promise I won't be a "no show" this time! Won't have time to check until I get back from Dallas. Auf weidersehen!
