Coffee isn't doing much for me this morning. I don't think I got any REM sleep at all.

It must have been guilt feelings for that hurricane crack you made yesterday. ;-)

It wasn't that $100 single cup coffee maker was it, XL?

Pricy, even for Wal-Mart.

K cups are where its at. LOL, I used to love the "gas station coffee" at 3 am while working an investigation. There was nothing like the burned taste to wake you up.

my kids are giants. if drinking coffee stunts their growth i would be scared to think of how tall they would be without the coffee. my daughter is a giant and she is still in middle school.

The new Starbucks instant is clearly the best trail coffee I have had.

It is light years above the "teabag" coffee.

However, I did see Hillbilly Hiker with a coffee press that fit in his Nalgene that was interesting.

Actually, the coffee press HBH had was pretty slick.

Im having a cup of the new Starbucks Via right now. For the size, taste ease of use, I think this is my new trail coffee! this is not instant coffee like youre used to. It uses real coffee at an extremely fine grind so it disolves in the water.

someone sent us a huge box of the starbucks via stuff (somehow I have it all....hmmm) and its by far the best instant I have ever had, tastes like real coffee...almost.

I am on the brink of panic though, the PX is out of my fav coffee and I have enough for 2 more days. Really good german coffee is the one luxury we get and now its gonna. Damn fobbits!

HA!
I just fixed a coffee crinder from our on-campus Starbucks...well, my partner came along and turned it on without the cover in place and it shot about a cup of grounded up coffee all over him in about 1/2 of a second.

Now the shop smells like a coffee shop!

Funny

My coffee grinder has a safety feature on it so I can't do that.

That is funny as heck though.

I remember one of the very first episodes of "Trailside" with John Viehman.... He was hiking in the Presidentials and his local guide had a 6-cup Bialetti strapped to the outside of his E-frame.
