Hi Violin, posting your hindquarters again I see. As long as it isn't your about to be amputated foot. How is it that you people are online here so much. Once I stopped I realized how unhealthy it is not to be part of this addicting little community. I even had lots of cardiac testing but I think that it was just stress from exams. I see the doctor again on friday to go over the results of a nuclear stress test. My heartrate was over a hundred, resting but now it is back to 70.

Spirit Coyote, get better and no more pneumonia!! How did you get it, from not taking care of a cold or from sinus or did you get a powerbug? Glad you like your new job too.

“Very little hiking for me, not up hills anyway. I just got over shingles and now have a severe case of hip bursitis. It's horrible and seems to take forever to heal.”

“I forgot to mention the trout fishing is dead because the creeks are just about dried up from lack of rainfall. It's the worst May conditions I've ever seen.”

“Rich not the dreaded shingles! My husband had those and it was awful! The hip bursitis doesn't sound like much fun. Did they rule out lyme disease? I had a friend who was told she had bursitis in her elbow and it took them six months before they decided she really had lyme, but that was back when lyme was not as well known. Sorry to hear that the creeks are dry. It is so weird since the first weekend of April everything was flooded (I was at girl scout camp and the road was crumbling under the cars as we were driving out--very scary).”

“Yes, the dreaded shingles and what a miserable disease it is. Even though the lesions are gone I can still feel the effects from it. I don't think it's Lyme because my hip is snapping and popping sometimes when everything is tight and seems to be a classic case of bursitis. So far 7 weeks and it's still healing, but slowly. The pain is getting better, but I'm preparing myself to have most of my summer ruined. Bike riding makes it worse as I found out 10 days ago, so that's out too.”

“Rich, I had the shingles a few years back. geez, did that hurt.”

“It's brutal, I'm just glad I didn't get it on my face since it can cause problems to the optic nerve. Mine ran around the nerve from my spine to my chest. The backaches get so bad you can't even stand up for long. Sometimes it felt like a line of bee stings.”

when i go to the doctor, my heart rate is always through the roof, b/c doctors make me nervous. they're only getting a reading of what my doctors-office heartrate is, which basically has nothing whatsoever to do with what it would be like if i wasn't at the stupid doctor getting my heart rate checked! LOL.”

“Yeah Marko, 70 indicates being outta shape I think, but it is much better than 104. "normal" is 60-100, but then you look at what the person's baseline is. If a guy has a resting rate of 46 every year, then you don't hospitalize him if he goes to the ER with a broken arm and has a rate of 43.

Hyway, front to back on the left above the waist. For the first four days we thought he had a horrendous case of poison ivy.”

“Chili, east Tennessee that is great! I have to look at the map but I think that means you are close to Atlanta or western North Carolina (Franklin?). Didn't they have some horrific flooding in the aftermath of one of the hurricanes last fall? We went rock sifting there because my daughter had read about it and wanted to find a ruby. We found some dyed tourist stones instead but we had fun. Great area.”

“I knew what it was as soon as the lesions appeared and went to the doctor right away to start acyclovir antiviral. I'm not sure if it made any difference, but the lesions never spread beyond the one nerve.”
