I missed the original thread where you probably already discussed this, Tech. I'm looking for another lightweight shelter. Can you help a newbie?

Which do you like better; the Lunar, or the Tarptent? And why?

Unfortunately as we were sitting on the couch last night my wife said "I see we have nothing on the calendar for this weekend, how 'bout we..." and I knew right there that any bping plans were out.

Normally she would be all for me getting out since I haven't been away all summer (we've been doing family car-camping trips every month), but she's going back to work in 2 weeks (teacher).

Thanks for the invite, I will definitely catch up soon.

check out the PA AT thread if you're interested.

Interested - yes. I need to work on logging some miles from the MD/PA border, north. I have sections in Shenandoah done, all of MD done, and sections in southern PA. I want to get all those sections hooked together.

But, I'm booked for a family car-camp this weekend. Keep me in mind for future AT sections, though. I'm starting to get desperate for some trail!

Yo Tech!!

I have a book title for ya. Its called The Homeowners Guide to Renewable Energy. Its printed by Mother Earth News. Lots of great info (I didnt care for all the commentary). It covers alternative energy in really great detail. Very usefull.

Tech, maybe you think I'm asking to start a debate. Not so. Not even a discussion. Just wondered if you knew a source of that info. If not, no problem, I'll ask around. You're just the best "on location" source I have right now. Thanks.

What, on the gays vs. Presbyterian thing? You listed the official Presby stance, but there are many churches (like mine) which have rebelled and actively support the gay community.
