Mandolin.. “How long have you been playing? What type music, BG, Jass, Old Time? What type mando, A or F Check out http://www.jaybuckey.com/ for BG stuff. I've been working thru his 6 book series and it is a riot! Great BG stuff here.” 5:28:02 PM 5/19/05 “Oh about 2 weeks. LOL! I've been going through the Mel Bay complete mandolin method book and I have a couple of books of renaissance and medieval mandolin/lute music. I pretty much dig any music that can be played on a mandolin but in particular I like blugrass, Celtic, old timey stuff and ancient music This is my mando. last edited: 5/19/05 9:15:25 PM” 9:08:11 PM 5/19/05 “HPM.. You've probably already been here. http://www.mandolincafe.com/ this is a great resource for mando stuff. I've been playing now for 2 years. I got started when the "O Brother Where Art Thou" movie came out. I've listened to BG for years and just thought..hey! I can do that, so like you I bought 1, then 2, then 3 mandolins within a 12 mth period. I play about an hour every night, then play guitar after that. Great thint about learning an instrument is that it keeps the brain sharp and actually helps prevent alzhiemers. (great excuse for buying another mando!) I've been looking at a Taylor 354ce 12 string guitar for 2 weeks now. I've played it twice and I can't get the sound out of my head. It's just plain awesome. I'm thinking about trading the Weber in towards the purchase price. I need another guitar (I've got 4) like a hole in the head, but damn! that sound!!!!!!.. Keep after the mando. It is just way to fun to play and it adds such a cool voice to any band you can jam with. Keep on a pickin and grinnin!!!” 10:07:50 PM 5/19/05 “Hey HPM! can you tell Im bored? :D” 9:47:51 PM 4/17/06 “Really? No couldn't be.” 9:52:26 AM 4/18/06 “Hey SC, fly on down to Jacksonville and you can help me finish scrubbing out the koi pond and clearing the drain pipes of twigs, leaves, sand and poo. That'll take care of your boredom.” 10:59:37 AM 4/18/06
