“Thanks Sass....I got some scrub stuff yesterday from the pharmacist plus the Hydrocortizone stuff. ONce I realized what it was I realized OH GOD!!! This is my first ever case of poison..its on my arm...legs.. and yesterday my neck, chest and small patch on my face. I feel really dumb for not realizing it before I scratched.

Sacc...lol...I have to say I am thankful mine is not the glistening blisters I have seen on others....THANKS GOD FOR SMALL FAVORS!!!

“Just know that you must wash your sheets, everything you wore, or touched, after you were in contact with the stuff, etc. The oil stays on it (for years!) and you'll reinfect yourself. Reaction to poison ivy, etc is an allergy. Allergies go in twelve year cycles and you can lose or get an allergy. I sure wish I could lose mine!”

“this is what usually happens:

you get it on you. then you spread it around you. it gets on your clothes, your shoes, whatever.

then you take a shower and it washes off you - but it's too late.

the blisters are your bodies delayed reaction to the stuff. usually takes a day or two before you start to itch, then then the blisters start showing up.

it seems like it spreads cause your body reacts (makes the blisters) on different parts of you at different times. it can take a week before your body makes blisters on some parts.

the real problem is the other stuff that had the stuff on it- like your shoes, or jacket or something. you can continue to get infected from those things for a longgggg time if you don't wash everything like sass said”

step 2- small red bumps. kinda look like spider or flea bites or something

step 3- the bumps grow and become more translucent

step 4- they bumps look like clear blisters

step 5- the blisters start poping and oozing yellowish sap. (no, the sap stuff is not from the plant. it won't spread it)

step 6- blisters start to flaten and heal.

“Idleness is......what I'm experiencing...

as I wait for my daughter to graduate from college on Monday. She has her last final today plus a paper due. Then it's party time for her. She told me to get lost, she doesn't want me to see her drinking beer!

Last night my body was a mess, lots of itching, bruises, and sores. Fortunately, today I'm OK.

Yesterday I lost the trail going around part of the lake at Rock Creek SP, Iowa. Had to bushwack through a lot of brush and weeds and then cross a swamp to climp up on a bridge over the swamp to get back onto the trail. But I plan to hike another section of the trail today.
