Got my eye on it CB, thanks for the invite. Have to coordinate schedules w/ Birch tomorrow, tabulate finances, and look and see if the stars will be in the right alignment to allow us out for a weekend, lol.”

“Stars aren't aligned. =( My cousin is graduating from HS that weekend, all the family's coming in from out-of-town and I have to provide baked beans and cookies for 200. If I can't go Birch can't go! Have fun and watch out for the cougars.”

I'm thinking of getting a head start Thurs evening and getting up there mid day Friday, if things fall into place. I was up there with you two years ago and made a return trip, with Mugsy, last year.

“take US 31/10 east out of ludington for a few miles til you come to stiles road. should be a flashing yellow light, i believe (its been a coupla years, gimme a break). left onto stiles road. go several miles until stiles road ends at freeman road. turn right, and after a very short distance turn at the very first left onto quarterline road. take this several minutes until there is a sign for lake michigan recreation area. turn left you will then be on forest trail road (also known as federal park road. take this all the way to the end and park. shun the silly car campers on the drive to your left”

“Would anybody going on this trip mind if I brought my dog along? She is about 2 yr old and 65 lbs. Very friendly and playful and loves the outdoors.”

“I will also be bringing my dog. Marshall- 45 lbs, 3 years old, loves all dogs and people, loves to hike. I just put the dog on a leash if he starts to bother anyone and I put him on the leash at meal time so he isn't sniffing about.”
