Camping like a Girl !! - - - what's up w ith that ?

“Upon putting some serious effort into restructuring my pack and load, the searches for a new lightweight bag and pad leads me to this:
Men - straight forward stuff, only the basics are met, rough and tumble gear, make it work or do without.
WOMEN, on the other hand - get extra padding for the hips area, extra fluff for the feet to keep their little tootsies warm, easy to reach zippers, all the comforts of your living room sofa !!!! Oh, and don't forget the lighter pack weight and pretty matching colors!!!

I think it's a marketing ploy. Women buy more stuff than men, for less good reason. If they hear that there's something just for them out there they'll buy it because it's a prettier color or is softer. I'm guilty of buying gear based on color in the past, but learned my lesson when it was absolute crap. I think people who are newer to the sport are more suseptable to this type of buying.”
