How is it going up there so far?

Will you be coming with Artex to the Devils Path next weekend?

Yeah we are having beautiful weather here. But, when it is July and the temps are in the upper 90's with 100% humidity, you will be enjoying the 70's.....

The Berkshire Mountains in Mass would probably be the halfway hiking point. Those are supposed to be very pretty mountains. We could do a hike on the AT to Mt. Greylock (highest mountain in Mass).

Yam, I think you ought to pick a place halfway between Maine and Tennessee.........hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....Maryland(?)

Watch TeeVee??
Are you Whacked??
(don't answer that)

When I bailed out on the Wolf Gap trip I *@#*(&^$%&%^&%^*%&@dang near had pneumonia.
I had a hard time walkin' to work......one mile.
The Wolf Gap area is where I did my first little REAL backpackin' trip in '73.

the berkshires in MA and taconics in CT are very nice. beautiful waterfalls and alpine-like mountain summits. greylock is alright. bear mtn and mt race are awesome, open windswept summits. you can drive to the top of greylock, which can be crowded. some nice falls and cascades flow off of greylock.

Quit complainin' about the weather, Yammie. Those Mainiacs just may send you packin'.

One good thing about the rain and cooler weather...it keeps the black flies down.

I'm sure you'll enjoy a nice, short summer one week this year in Maine.
