The invasion was never directly about spreading freedom, but about America's long-term strategic interest.

He didn't bang Monica! That's what blows my mind. Her gets bjs, he plays with the cigar... but he doesn't bang her, because he tells himself somehow that this makes it better. JFK had real affairs with real women. Billy had a half-a$%ed affair with a troubled powerless girl.

Some people get so caught up in the argument that they forget about the bigger picture. They'd rather be right than have peace (or prosperity). If my brother gets drunk and takes bets his kids college tuition on a horse, I'll do what I can to change his mind - but once the money is down, I'll hope he wins.
