Basic advice: The more time you can allow the better. Three weeks was fine for me, would have been better if I hadn't gotten hurt. A few more days would have been even more fun. I was glad I took the time to swim many times. I might have taken some zero or very low mileage days in beautiful spots if I had more times or I would have spent more time in some of the great towns near the trail.

Avoid Black Fly season. Be prepared for Mud in any season.

If you have any more specific questions, you might ask them. But there are lots of people here who have done some or all of the LT - you might want to start a thread where you'll get their input as well.”
