I think its the blatant "irresponsibility" we see that ticks most people off.

Sad though we expect better behavior out of her than we do from elected officials or some "members of clergy".

The judge didn't change his order. The sherrif changed her "location of confinement". It's up to the judge to issue the order; it's up to the sherrif to decide where that is carried out. I heard that the DA is looking into whether the sherrif is in contempt. The judge said no ankle bracelets and the sherrif allowed it.

Any of you folks ever been in a county lockup? The medical issues probably included personal safety from inmates as well as from the crack battalions of CO's found in many county jails. Most county facilities do not have seg resources for personal protection.

This is a far cry from Martha's stay at "Club Deb". The guests of the county are no where near as genteel and refined as the guests of the feds.

Given a choice between a lawsuit over harassment, posting 24/7 personal guards or the consequences of personal injury to someone in county custody, I would probably reassign her too.

Oh come on. She feigned mental health problems (no doubt, she probably has some but who doesn't) and got a medical order to be released.

Hopefully, the decision will be reversed this morning.

It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't parade around as if she was something important. But then again, I guess the public has elevated her to that status. If nobody cared, maybe she would fade off in into obscurity.

Not only that, she's a cheap skate!

"Outside the courthouse, people on other business stopped to gawk at news cameras. One of them was Moses Baltazar who was attempting to clear up his own traffic ticket. He said he was no fan of Hilton, noting she once tipped him only a dollar when he worked as a valet, even though he helped keep paparazzi away from her."

LMFAO...

just read the news from 3 minutes ago. The Judge told her to go back to jail to inish her entire 45 day sentance.

F'in whiny ass be-otch. Play like you play, break the rules, pay the penalty as the peasants do.
I do hope we are nearing the end of her 15 minutes.

This says she made it to her hearing to determine if she'd serve the rest of her sentence.... but that they had a time getting her to show up:

"And then, at roughly 10:20 a.m. PT — nearly 90 minutes after the hearing was scheduled to begin — Hilton was removed from her home in handcuffs, stuffed into the backseat of a cruiser and whisked off to courtroom in downtown Los Angeles, all while a frenzy of paparazzi activity roiled around (and above) them."

Now that she has to spend the full 45 days in jail, rather than the abbreviated time, how much do you want to bet her attorney will be fired over this stunt.

Round and round they go!
The judge wants to rule the world, to be king of the hill! I feel he should have reviewed the medical report and respected the sherrif's decision. There was no need to return her to court on this. He might have ordered her taken directly to jail, instead of stopping in the courtroom. He is guilty of making a circus out of this to inforce his own wishes. She was obeying orders of the house arrest. The judge was outside of his authority in trying to prevent her from serving under house arrest. He should be fired. He is trying to override the sheriff and prevent him from doing his job. I hope the sheriff sends her back home or to a "safe house" immediately. She is just a pawn caught in a battle between the judge and the sheriff. I believe the law is with the sheriff and I hope he wins.

The judge is guilty of trying to change or make the jailhouse rules. His jurisdiction ends at the courthouse steps. I hope his local pub refuses to serve him tonight!

NS, the sherriff does not get to change the orders of the court at his whim. Paris is in this situation because she also disobeyed a court order when she violated the terms of her probation.
Creek Dancer

No way! The judge is trying to limit the authority of the sheriff at the jail. He is not in charge of the jail, nor the jailhouse rules.

The judge made it clear in his decision that she would serve the full sentence in the jail facilities. This doesn't mean soaking in the house hot tub and calling friends to come over and snort blow.

NS..I hate to tell you but...if you are serious here...you are wrong. Lets do a little Civics lesson here (we studied this in 8 th grade but then again....)

The Judge is part of the JUDICIAL branch they interpret the law and handle establishing punishment

The Sheriff is part of the EXECUTIVE BRANCH his job is to carry out the lawful orders of the Judicial or Legislative Branch.

So if you break the law and are tried, sentenced etc the Sheriff does not have the legal standing to change the punishment. He is charged with carrying out the lawful orders of the judge. Or..he can be charged with Contempt and put in his own prison.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE there is this

NS, this has nothing to do with jailhouse rules. A court order is a court order. The sherriff can't change that. Only a higher court or the judge who made the order. Are you saying the sherriff is above the judge and can pick and choose what he will follow from the bench and what he will not follow?
Creek Dancer

The judge's sentencing order specifically ruled out house arrest or monitoring bracelet. That was the sentence. The sheriff violated the sentence of the court.

The judge might have ordered a comprehensive, psychological examination, in view of the findings at the jail and the sheriffs actions based upon those findings.

If you were in a cell and the sheriff said you could leave would you?...

It was the SHERIFF who let her out, sentence HIM to the 45 days for contempt of court...and to REALLY make it a harsh sentence...put him in the cell NEXT to hers....

You KNOW Mommy and Daddy had to have reminded the Sheriff that if he expected to get elected MAYOR he was going to need connections and a campaign FUND.....

Hmmmmmm, lets see...

Paris is released because of a serious, unspecified, medical condition.

The first day in jail she appears OK, by day three she cant sleep, isn't eating and is sobbing uncontrollably.

Can we spell ADDICTION folks?

She is hooked on drugs, most likely OxyContin, but she can afford anything she wants so it could be anything under the sun.

I cant be the only one to have noticed this....can I?
