Sexy and/or Sick...?
Anybody see the new Hamburger commercial with Paris in it? She's in a tight black one piece swimsuit (low cut too), washing a sports car, spraying water and squeezing bubbles on herself, and posing sexily....at the end she bites into a big burger. I think it was for Carl's Jr. restaurant...or something like that. Saw it on the news tonight.

Boy, some of the TT'ers are on top of things. I checked the thread titles before starting my own.....I didn't know Hardees were a hamburger chain.

I do not wish to quibble, but I do not believe that a Bentley can technically be called a sports car.

When there were Roy Roger's restaurants, they were great for their double R Bar, a hamburger topped with a smoky ham.

Wow!!!! I saw Paris's commercial on that stupid show The View. All I can say is wow!!! and does my @ss look fat in these jeans and yes it does next to hers!!!

stanlee, her bathing suit was not low cut in front, there was no bathing suit in front, lol!!! The bad part is that you got a brain freeze and didn't know what the advertisement was for and that is not good for the advertisers. I think it was for Burger King?

I don't resent her for any reason, but I would love to have her money!!!! The girl is working it!

Then this one @ss on The View said maybe an actor who needed the job should have gotten it. She has got to be kidding! Big time actors and actresses do commercials, sometimes it's when they are going downhill though.

Hey, using @ssets for commercial gain, that is what capitalism is all about right.

Particularly perishable @ssets, better use them while you can.

Oh that reminds me of a funny story from my childhood.

I was about 9 or 10, and my aunt took me to see a Lee Marvin movie called Prime Cut. Now, being that age, I had no idea that the movie was about prostitution. In fact, in my little head, I thought that what was happening was that the pretty girls were being ground up for hot dogs and hamburgers.

I guess my aunt shouldn't have taken me to that movie.

Ha Ha! The first date I ever had was in eight grade. I was discussing the date at the bus stop and a senior told me to do that. I cannot remember when I laughed last that hard.

I have to admit, that was all I thought about that night at the movie. I laughed a couple of times and she asked me what I was laughing. Never mind, you don't want to know.

Maybe just not on the channels you watch Lyra.

Yep, why do I get the impression that Y2 does not like Paris.
Cannot understand what she might have done to him to make him feel such animosity unless it is basic class envy.

(Oops, did not mean to imply that Paris has any class, just talking rich vs poor here folks)

The Hardee's commercials we have out here are more disgusting; 18-24 year old guys shown cramming burgers in their faces while watching TV.

The other one is some slacker in his underwear looking for breakfast in his empty refrigerator and deciding it would just be easier to go to Hardee's.

Lyra, too bad you haven't seen the Paris Hilton commercial yet; it really says "Eat Me!"

Anyhow, there are far more worthy people for me to letch at out there.
Oh, it's Hardees huh, I guess we do have those.

I thought she was wearing a swim suit...could be wrong....saw the ad on the news. Just a one time deal...don't think Canadians will be seeing that ad again.

I think Paris is pretty....but the huge amount of make-up she uses, probably helps. She have no talent what-so-ever though.

Just read that the AP recently imposed a week-long Paris Hilton ban, just to see how it would go. Good for them! For better or for worse it didn't get a big test because no real "news" came out on her that week, and her big arrest happened just after the ban expired. Not that it should be considered news, either IMO.
techntrek

so the AP is arbitrarily censoring our news? I am sure this is not the only occurrence of that practice.

I don't know if you've heard this one, but Estate Taxes are going through another renaming in the public vernacular. 'Death Tax' is old hat. Now it's the 'Paris Hilton Tax'.

If you oppose Estate Taxes, then you're supporting the Paris Hilton Lifestyle and all of her smarmy clones.

Who wants to repeal the Paris Hilton Tax??

I agree, but why did they cover Anna's death like she was the first moon landing then? Either be consistent or don't censor. It make you wonder what they choose to not distribute and not tell you that they aren't distributing.

Censoring is the wrong word. Technically censorship can be done by governmental agencies only. Rather obviously, decisions are made daily by all sorts of agencies and people for one reason or another. That is a far cry from true censorship.

The estate tax wasn't created to get rid of spoiled rich kids. Their will always be spoiled rich kids. It was created to get rid of Dynasties like the Vanderbilts, Rockefellers, etc. Which makes me ask why does estate taxes begin at estates worth $600,000 or so? Thats not a dynasty, thats a money grab by the government.

Two things:

1. I'm pretty sure the news agency will tell you they aren't censoring the news, they just didn't consider it news worthy. Pretty much like anything positive from Iraq or anything positive about President Bush (not news worthy).

2. I don't care about Paris Hilton's life style or how she spends her inheritance. I consider it none of my business. I am however in favor of repealing the Estate tax.
