NEW YORK (AP) -- A 9-year-old girl fatally stabbed an 11-year-old girl in the chest with a steak knife during a fight over a ball, authorities said.

good question
this is a very sad thing, and really has nothing to do with NY

FYI
it is pretty low to take a tragic death of a child and try to rile someone eles with it.

That's nothing man. In a local town we had an 18 year old on his graduation day go next door, shoot both his grand parents, came back home and shot his mother sister, two of her friends and then himself. Seven dead and the poor sister is the only one left in the family.

It's a crazy world, people and crazy shlt happens everywhere.

Right. Look at some of the crap that happens in Florida! But, that isn't the point. This guy just took a shot at me because this case didn't involve guns. (no pun intended)

What say we arm the children next time, eh, JO???

Clam up, Leaffy!!

No offense was taken. I think sometimes my writing style gets a bit misjudged. I like to be descriptive and a bit graphic sometimes. I also try to use words and phrases that generate a certain vocal quality, as if you were to take the written words and try to transpose it to spoken word in your mind. And, as a result, it often gets misread as anger. I'm really not THAT angry of a person. I like to call it, "passionate!" HA!!!

Speaking of New York...a co-worker of mine and his family just got back from the Big Apple on Sunday and reported a great time! His wife had to do some attorney-type work there so he and his daughter took in the art museums, a couple shows, Ground Zero, Central Park, the Empire State Bldg., and on....He said it was Fleet Week so he had to keep an eye on his daughter.

I am puzzled by Dayhikers assertion that WhackO is JO.

I almost never agreed with JO, but this type of statement does not seem to be his style either.

Yeah! I had a feeling it was going to go that way. I mean, I don't have anything to hide. That's not the problem. I guess you gotta do the rat race thing on a consistent basis to really see where I get a little "tired" of this, eveen though I am fully aware of the reality of today's world. So, I use TT to vent about it a little. And, for the most part, I sympathize with the cops, especially since they don't seem to be really into doing this stuff. I just feel that it's not as effective as they say. But, that's moot, too. Hey, I jusy keep on a rolling with the punches and realize that the lax days of yesteryear are gone in NYC...

I wasn’t sure weather to post this here or on the Starbucks is evil thread but I thought it fit here best. This is a video of a guy ranting about starbucks. That’s not what makes it great though. What makes it great is he’s a true blue New Yorker (now in Jersey I think). This guy and his kind are quickly vanishing from the face of NYC it seems. When I think of a New Yorker I think of this guy. Classic, honest, in your face and straight shootin’. (very rated R for F-bombs…I think less bombs were dropped on Iraq last year)

“What the #&%!$ do they think they’re servin’ over there? #&%!$in’ liquid gold? A #&%!$in’ cup of coffee and a piece of pound cake $7? Stick it up your ass Starbucks! What about the #&%!$in’ workin’ man?”
