Off to Yellowstone!

“I'm about 75% packed and ready to go to Yellowstone for two weeks beginning tomorrow. Wooo hooo! Can't wait!”

“Hope you're not planning on going over the Beartooth Pass. It's closed due to mudslides.”

“i'll be thinking of you!!! we leave sept 10th!”

“Thanks guys. Don't have a trail planned out yet. Called the park they said they weren't busy or crowded at all and if we picked our routes when we got there we'd be fine. Last time I hiked the southeastern side of the park. I'm thinkin the northwest or northeastern part this time. Leavin' right after I get off work at 7am. Will have lots of picks for y'all when I get back.”

“Sounds awesome. Have a great time.”

“And off I go! See you guys in a couple weeks.”

Yellowstone in June... brrrrr... Don't freeze!”

“I think that last 25% got packed too quickly - only about 15 hours. He's toast.”

“I'm very excited about it, that's for sure. I haven't been cross country skiing since I was a kid (used to ski a lot when I was a kid) so I'm definitely looking forward to that. I do a lot of artwork when I hike camp, but I don't think watercolors will be a very viable option in consistent below freezing temperatures. I'll have to experiment, I guess, and see what works.”

“Man, that was a good trip. We only lost one person for 3 days in the woods, not too bad.

That was my second trip and I said the next time I go it would be in winter...totally different feel there in winter.”
