SD Reverse Combi Tent is Here!
After much deliberation regarding a new tent for my wife and I. I ordered the Sierra Design Reverse Combi tent thru REI's last sale. With our member discount it came to $200 which included the foot print, gear loft, and 2) coffee slings. I've got it set up in the backyard and I like what I see.
Time will tell how functional it really is.
I was concerned about the size of the vestibules, but after getting it setup, I threw in the packs, boots, misc gear, and it seems as though I'll have plenty of room.

A coffee sling? What the heck is that?

essentially a nylon bucket that hangs from the gear loft. It will hold a 16oz coffee mug or a 32 oz Nalagen water bottle.
After getting them hung from the loft, they seem kind of hokey. It will be interesting to actually use them to determine whether they are a pain or not.

I can just imagine hitting my head on the frickin' coffee sling, splashing hot coffee all over the sleeping bag and scalding whoever's in the tent with me. Who gets up, makes coffee and goes back in their tent anyways?!

Yo stik ....
I could really care less what you've got compared to what I've got. That is not the intent of the post. If you took it that way, it sucks to be you. I just thought someone out there would be interested in seeing this tent set up, and the additional items that came with the purchase. To me it was a good deal since it included the foot print and gear loft.

This thread has me very confused. When I go pick up my new sleeping bag at REI this afternoon, do I post on this thread or the old "Woo Hoo New Gear" thread?

Picked up a bear vault solo, not sure what all those people who couldn't open it were doing, did it first time and every time.

dump a bunch of sand on the threads, tighten the piss out of the bear vault lid and let it sit for a day in the sun - then if it opens easily I'll be impressed
