LINDENWOLD, N.J. (AP) - Police made a surprising discovery when they busted the alleged madam of a prostitution ring called August Playmates: The woman running the show was an 80-year-old grandmother.

Authorities arrested Vera Tursi last month during a sting operation to crack down on prostitution rings posing as legal escort services. Police say Tursi ran the business from her two-bedroom apartment, taking $60 of every $160 US she charged clients for one hour with a call girl.

Alright enough sterotypes about NJ. No worse than any other state. That's like sayin' Bama is full of under educated toothless sister f#ckers. Sterotypes, who needs them!

BS - V and I have picked at each other for years now. When he sees this, he'll know the spirt in which it was intended.

I also agree that there is a double standard. Sort of like if chili calls me a redneck versus someone from the NE.

Who has a toothless sister? Sounds like a good date.

PS. Bama IS full of under educated toothless sister fookers. My office was a dentist office 10 years ago. Just last week we had someone pop in wanting to see the dentist. 8 years ago it was 1 a week dropping in.

LOL, just bustin' chops. I have followed some of those threads, and get a good chuckle out of America's view of NJ. Most of them are dead on.

Well, there is usually a good bit of truth in lots of stereotypes. For example, I can think of two houses in my town, both on major US highways, that are flying Confederate flags. They both have junk on the front porch and if that porch collapsed it'd kill at leave 5 hound dogs.

I was in 30 miles west of Baltimore in Maryland this past weekend and saw the same type of people I see around Wilmington, NC.

One couple - mid 20's blond woman weraing a nascar hat, her hubbie wearing cowboy boots, a rodeo buckle and a fumanchu mustache.

Another couple - mid 30's light brown hair woman, 40 something career man and adopted chinese son.

etc etc etc.

stopped by a flea mall organized by the local fire department. Other than the hilly countryside, everything looked just like the south, complete with tables full of swords, knives and crystal statues of dragons.

Contrasted with the stuff we all make fun of is you get some on the nicest, most giving people that there are. I run into lots of these guys on construction sites. They live very rugged lives, but would give you the shirt off their back. The more I work with them, the more I respect them.

I never really went to New Jersey except to get married at The Manor. It's an old manor in the Oranges. It has a great elegant buffet with lobster night and tons of shrimp on ice w/tons of deserts if you can get yourself there if you live anywhere near it.

With more Superfund sites than anywhere in the country, we’re pretty immune to everything here.

With all the people moving from here down your way chili, y’all Miller Lite drinking sissies would be toast if they’re carrying the plague.

Violin, I like The Manor because it has things on it that I like since I'm picky, like their stuffed chicken and pasta station. I was glad to have my reception in their buffet room since everyone else besides me likes seafood and they have so many other things to offer people, so there is always something for someone. Everyone loved it. The room is so beautiful and homey at the same time with china cabinets and the buffet items are served in silver or probably silver plated serving dishes.

MarkO, too late, my husband ate the shrimp and continues to eat shrimp. It always seems to be on sale in our grocery stores.

Nigal, someone told me they thought they saw Gotti's rat....what's his name in WA state. I think he had facial plastic surgery, but you can't change that head or his body shape or his general look if you knew what he looked like. I think I could spot him if he was in front of me.

Ha ha, I think a lot of the shrimp I see comes from Thailand or Chile or someplace anyway.

Shut up about the great food already, I'm havin' grilled cheese sandwich and a couple of beers for dinner.
