“You'll need it. I just got married April 24, and I have to say that it was one of the most harrowing experiences of my life (getting married...not being married). Add that to the fact that my wife graduated from veterinary school 2 weeks afterwards, and we moved to Pittsburgh (from Lansing, MI) a week after that.

Thankfully, I got her all her outdoor gear BEFORE we got married...mountain bike and related gear, and all her backpacking gear. Now, the challenge is finding an opening in her work schedule to get outside to use it!”

“pink, I did not graduate from MSU, though there's a possibility we might end up back in the area in a year. I'm trying to get into grad school to get my MS (and eventually PhD) in ecology, and MSU has an excellent program.

I graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH.

Pittsburgh has some good dayhiking. There's a 34 miler (no campsites, so you gotta do it in a day) just a couple miles from my apartment. I've done parts of it already.”
