Never mind the bloody chain saw, he shouldn't have been let in the country with that hair!

He's got those weird popout eyes like the runaway bride!

I can't imagine someone looking at him and thinking nothing's amiss here. I hate to profile, but......

that guy looks like he ingested enough crack to keep a party going all night!

They did question him for two hours. I dunno if you can really fault the Customs and Border people. They tried, but found no reason to detain him. And like the guy said, they don't have the means to test a substance to see if it's blood or not.

I'm with Bit on this one.

“Nobody asked us to detain him,” Anthony said. “Being bizarre is not a reason to keep somebody out of this country or lock them up. ... We are governed by laws and regulations, and he did not violate any regulations.”

...Thank God!

I still believe there should be a law against that haircut though.

If you arrest everbody with a wild look and a bloody chainsaw and a sword and brass knuckles, would that be profiling?

But, but, but...people don't get murdered in Canada. They have gun control up there. It's safe there.

he killed the "chet atkins of minto"

that should get him some leniency in the sentencing

This is the second case of a violent Canadian ex-patriot in the U.S. in a week.

If that were the case, most of the people who post on this board would need to be deported.

Let's move to Rockburn.

The dude was in the Minto Country Music Hall Of Fame.

Road Trip to Minto, anyone?

In retrospect, you guys are right about not detaining him, if nothing else, but for the lack of warrants or any other reason to hold him. I was more thinking that the presence of the blood would be enough of a red flag (pun intended! :) to possibly hold him, at least until it could be determined what the substance was.

In any event, I just think that Gremlin should keep a better eye on his students!

I believe the guy was hitch-hiking with all those sharp, pointy things.

WTF?

who would pick him up?

I didn't see anything in the article where it said he used the chainsaw as a weapon, but maybe his homemade sword wasn't enough to decapitate.

You're in luck when you've got a MacCulluch!!!

I like my Husqvarna

There’s something very cathartic about choppin’ wood. Wonder if it’s the same for bodies? I imagine it would depend on who it is, right?

Stranger; not so much. Mother in-law; very satisfying!

We're talking Canada here. Wouldn't it be considered impolite not to pick him up?

Maybe Canadians frequently hitch-hike with chainsaws.

And cheap, passable whiskey.

I tried some Old Forester Kentucky Bourbon last night, on the recommendation of my cousin. Yeowtch! Ruff stuff! I had about one swallow of Canadian Mist left, and I drank it right after the OF. Much, much smoother and tastier.

Bit, ... Duh! It's already started. These are their lead elements. The Britis.. Canadians are coming! To arms!

Do you want your kids growing up polite?

Do you want your grandchildren to go around saying "eh" every other word?

Do you want to join the organ-eye-zation?

Join the resistance. Stop the insidious Canadian invasion. And, outlaw chainsaws while there's still time!

Keep your mouth shut MarkO. Upstate NY may be where the Canadians invade first. Especially since we have some highway and trail signs that are already half English and half French.

My current favorite beer comes from Saratoga.

I can retire to Rockburn with my chainsaw and still sneak across the border for beer re-supply.
