anyone interested in doing it?
it is a 12 mile loop with some pretty good ups and downs and a lot of great scenery, including Sones Pond and Haystacks.

I am thinking we could quasi-car camp somewhere Friday night.

There's a nice camping spot up or downstream on the Loyalsock creek near the steel bridge. I might be able to make it if I'm healed enough by then.

very interesting. The Loyalsock is probably the prettiest trail in PA. (IMO of course)

Haystacks is an awesome swiming hole, so if it's sticky hot, we can jump in the water when we get there.

hmmmmm, this is the same weekend as the rescheduled "Revenge of the revenge of the revenge of the revenge of the revenge of the Dix Range."

seems like there is forever bad weather swirling over the Dix Range.

RichB, that campsite that you are refering to is the place where I would like to camp that Friday night.

I'm sick of the Dixes...

I might not be able to do the Sods (too many miles on the car -- now have a 30-mile commute to work) ...

I could possibly be in for this...

Only time will tell. Muah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

(Is it going to be a royal rainout again?)

It's nice spot along the Loyalsock and should work well for Friday night.

yeah, I just got a major speeding ticket on Friday night and driving to the Sods won't be able to happen for me.

this should be fun and I think it is a stretch of the trail that we haven't done yet. Plus the link trail is an entirely different trail, so it should be very fun. The Loyalsock Trail is always fun, no matta the weatha.
