yes it seems that our little girl is no longer a little girl.
I came home last night and found out the heart breaking truth. No matter how you try to shelter them and try to teach them to do the right thing and just be smart about it, there is always that one child that has to learn the hard way.

so i am here to tell you all the great news.....

OUR LITTLE LULU THE BIRD LAID AN EGG LAST NIGHT..

Your children are your children no-matter-what.

Your grandchildren are your reward in life for not murdering your children.

My 4 yr old grandchild waits on my porch with a squirt gun for me.(the varmit) He (& all his cousins) attack his father with squirt guns at the family gatherings. (I avoid these usually do to work)At these times he sends grandma to my shed to bring the super squirter.

Got jealous of his newborn brother & kicked the screen out of my wood storm door. (fixed that yesterday). Have a new (hand built) oak screen door on my front porch. Hope that one can stand up to him.

I came home last night and found out that while I was gone over the weekend, my little Lulu who had been sitting on three eggs, became a mother. two of the three have hatched. it was a very touching thing to see. she sitting there looking at me and wanting to kill me for opening the box where her nest is in, Loki trying to fly up and peek my eyes out...ahhhhhh a great thing to see.

she has laid eggs before but I think Loki was shooting duds. so we now have 5 birds! what a great thing to come home to.

oh Lulu is a cockatiel

Chicks and ducks and geese better scurry
When Belle visits the trees in a hurry
When Belle visits the trees in a hurry with a hungry spot
Watch her tongue and see how it flutters
When she eats those chicks cooked in butters
Nosey folks will peek through their shutters and their eye will pop

we had baby mourning doves in a tree outside a window here at work - this morning there was only some fluff left on the ground below the nest. A predator of some sort found them :(

that reminds me of last night. I was saying how I didnt think the eggs would hatch, cause i thought Loki was shooting blanks. with that I looked at treebeard and he just looked at me and said, "don't freaking look at me. I had nothing to do with this" I am still laughing at that
