10k+ ft .... how will my Jetboil perform ?

Taking a trip in a couple months that will vary between 10k-11k ft elev. As of now I have a Jetboil, but the only personal experience I have with it is at less than 4k ft elevations. I will be in the Sierras, I expect it to get pretty cold.

How can I expect my Jetboil to perform in these conditions? No doubt there is a more ideal stove set up....suggestions?

it will work the same as any canister stove.

It should work OK in the Sierra Nevada Mtns. I use my GAZ canister stove at those elevations with no problem.

FYI: In a couple of months (August, September?) you should find the Sierra Nevada Mtns quite warm during the daytime, even at 10,000 ft. Night temps MIGHT get close to freezing (depending on where you'll be) but should stay warm enough for your stove.

It will be fine. We just used a jetboil at those elevations this past weekend in the Sierras. No problem at all.

Thanks for the feedback. Not going until the end of September. Im expecting the daytime temps to be nice while anticipating the night and early morning temps to be cold. Sounds like it wont be much of an issue. Thanks again.
