“Hmmmm, my hiking book does not mention Wing Lake. It mentions Black Peak as part of the view if you do Lake Ann/Maple Pass, 6.2 miles and 3 hours.

At Lake Ann (5,475 ft. elevation), it says you can go east to Heather Pass, 6,200 ft. elevation and 3.1 miles, then Maple Pass, elevation 6,800 ft. to enjoy views of Corteo and Black Peaks with no mention of Wing Lake.”
