Need Trail Info

“Aero, Aero . . . are you on here? I need some info about the campgrounds by Mystic Lake. We are leaving today after 3. Anyone else got some info?

Also, the websites w/ the best trail info require payment or "free trial offers" that require credit card info! Total crap.”

“LOL @ toejam! We figured it out on our own and had a great time. We hiked the 6 miles round trip to Mystic Lake in the Beartooth Mtns in about 3 hrs and that was w/ Newergirl. She did pretty well the first 2 miles up and then the trail got alot harder than we expected and the poor kiddo couldn't do it. So we took turns carrying her, which wasn't really all that bad. I sure wished that she could still fit in the Kelty kid carrier we used a few yrs ago though.

It was beautiful up there and a great temp. We had no storms the whole time. Oh yeah, the other thing . . . Newergirl caught her first fish. A little trout @ Emerald Lake. Hope everyone else had great wkends too. One more thing . . . I didn't have to think about the wedding plans or my lack of a job the whole time. Nice.”

“My son was 8 when he climbed his second 14er (the picture on Phil's page) and I ended up carrying him down after he ran out of gas. Since then I've only had to carry his gear.

I'm glad you could wing it and make it work. Hopefully your priorities are a little better focussed and you won't be so stressed ;)”
