Miss one day......
.....and you miss a lot!

So when I signed on for TT for the very first time a few days ago, after being entertained by some of your past little electronic get-togethers, I wondered what I could possibly have missed over the last few years by not knowing there was such a thing as TT. Well after being away for just one night, I think I may have an idea. If I am reading all this correctly, among other things I missed last night was: a search for a "single SWM" (I guess the more single, the better) non-dickhead member of the hiking community; what appeared to be a request for group phone sex; a revival of horrible 80's wedding/prom songs that failed to include REO Speedwagon---I mean come on people, 8652 prom themes from 1982 cannot be wrong; several instances of drinking and chatting; and a news report about a blue grouse being accosted by two drunken female hikers. (Oh wait, maybe I read that one somewhere else.) I think buried amongst all of it there was a little blurb about hiking or something like that. So as I read through last nights laughs and tears and cries for help, all I could think was: ah.......home at last......and I'm among many friends. Happy to have found you all!

lol ... come tomorrow night you'll see alot of trip reports. Trailtalk is typically dead on weekends, because many are out... hiking. lol

During the week it can be entertaining. Ignore any post by Spirit Coyote.

Welcome to TT

"Thanks" to both of you. Everything I've seen so far, trail reports or otherwise, has been very entertaining to say the least.

I'll be around.

A Yooper is someone born and raised in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, or "U.P." for short---that's above the Mackinac bridge. Trolls live below the bridge which is where I am now.

Whatever makes you think I was referring to you as a drunk????? I'm just reporting what I read.

I knew what a yooper was... just thought I ask. BUT...did you just call yourself a troll? [not that there is anything wrong with that]

didn't think you referred to me as "a"drunk...but drunk...while writing the TR...which would be wrong too.

I was referring to the article I read in the "Blue Grouse News." The grouse community is saying that you two scared THEM and not the other way around. But I believe you instead---grouse are notorious for their tall tales.

Is there a statute of limitations when it comes to keeping Yooper status? I just live amongst the trolls and try to exist in their world.

No problem as long as they maintain Senior Respect.

Hmmm. That reminds me, I need a new Kobotan. I gave mine to my daughter for her central america trip. Maybe I should get a Karambit, too.(only $450.)

Mmmmm.....beer. To some it's a six-pack, to me it's a support group.

So new guy gets to be the purchasing agent? I must have missed that part of the Terms and Conditions.

Actually it was more than one day....managed to spend a few days with some other Michigan TTers and get in a nice day hike yesterday. We had a great time!

Good to see some new names here as well as some old ones---quite a surprise. Here's to good times ahead for all.
