June 24-26 Anything going on in NC?

“I am thinking of doing a trip either around Sitting Bear, eastern rim Linville Gorge, or going up on Grandfather.

I just want to go out and have some fun and introduce Buffett (2 year old labrador I rescued) to hiking.

If ya'll have any better trip ideas, I am game for them.

“Short-Off mtn is a good short one, just wacth the dog near the cliffs.

The veiw is one of the best in the gorge.”

“I would be hesitant to take 2 yo lab to Grandfather or the gorge. If he/she takes off after something, they could be gone over a cliff. Consider South Mountains, Mitchell, Roan,or Rogers. Wilson Creek also (if your comfortable with unmarked trails.)”
