I've found it doesn't. One time a friend of mine and I were biking in the woods. He put it on and I didn't. LOL! He had a bee following him as he booked along on the bike trying to get away. Eventually had to dump his head in the stream. LOL

Anyways, we used it in the military and I noticed no difference at all.

Scientific studies I've seen show it works, but only for a short amount of time.

Why....
do you persist in setting yourself up in such a way? Have you learned NOTHING in all your years on this site? sheesh.

Even though it would really be fun to write some stuff here, I will restrain myself and let it ride and save it for the campfire.

Mosquitos are definitely attracted to some people more than others. My ex and I watched his grandmothers dog and it turned out she had fleas. I had a ton of bites and hubby had none.

I go in my backyard to talk to my present husband for 1 minute and get bit while he sits out there with no problem.

Sawyers is now makeing a "kit" to soak your clothing in permethrin and make the treatment last up to five weeks. In the past I have uses a treatment that you soak you clothing in that last a year. If you soak your outer layers, they are treated inside and out. You don't need to do undies and socks and should not because of absorption rates in those areas. You can also treat your sleeping bag, ground cloth, tent or tarp, etc. and destroy all the creepy-crawler in your whole campsite. Good stuff. When I get home from a day in the ticky woods, a lot of days there are dead ticks that fall off of my sock tops where I take off my boots. The stuff works. The info I have read about application and toxicity says it is a very mild carcenogen. The warning lable on the aerisol cans are more for the propellent that for the permethrin. The soak method eliminates the aerisol problem.
