Well, it's about time! Also, several of the Yosemite high country camps (or whatever they're called) will not be open this year. An article in the Chronicle this morning (too lazy to find and link - find it yerself!) said there's still 12 feet of snow at May Lake!. Anywhoo, with TPR open, us coastsiders can get over to the Eastern Sierra now - watch out!

wow, big snow year eh?

The CO high country on the Northern Front Range had enough snow this year that we may have broken the drought - was a wet spring as well. THe lakes are all very full right now. I believe all our passes have been open for a few weeks now though.

Trail Ridge Road thru RMNP has opened and closed a couple of times, but I'm pretty sure its open now.

I found it interesting, roam, when I was there in CO. I went for a drive one afternoon and went over a few passes at around 10-11,000' that were dry as a bone. Yet the Sierras (western, at least) are still socked in with snow in most areas above 8-9000 feet. Maybe it's dryer snow in CO so it melts faster?
