“thanks TH, it is not easy and I knew it would a hard road when I changed careers mid way. But I followed my heart. but i think in the next life i will find a career that makes lots of money! I like this shelter because it is small and very different from working in a city shelter.
it still is a city run shleter but not as large as New York.”

“I got a great offer for a new job that I accepted last weekend. I resigned and then two days later a lot of people were let go. Guess my timing was pretty good. I was apparently not on the list because they asked me to stay, but I had already given my word that I was going so that is that. I had no knowledge of the pending release of staff but I bet it looked like I did. I was really shocked.

My new company is in Canada. They pay for ALL of my US health insurance for me and my family. Same for dental, vision, and prescription benefits. I only pay co payments, deductibles, etc. It is good insurance too! Changes my entire outlook on Canada... :)”
