“Emminent domain burns my ass! They put a highway in here ( a bypass to bypass the old bypass) and took homes and farms from families that had them in their family since Tell City was founded by the Swiss.

Some years ago a big developer came in around my parents house with a plan to damn up a huge valley creating a massive lake. They would have owned all the property around it and then planned to put in condos and houses and other dev. They moved in truckloads of machinery and had already built 6 or 7 of the damns. They were bullies and pushing property owners around trying to get them to sell. A couple of key property owners held out till the end. The machinery went away and the farmers tore the damns down or made ponds.

It sounds like under this new pressure they may have been able to use emminent domain?”
