it stinks here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we have an outbreak of red tide in our area, sarasota to indian rocks beach. it's an alge that kills the fish which then die and then stink!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they remove them from the beach once a day but the smell is still in the air. you can't go out at all, it makes you cough and weeze.
hey the good news is we have a sea turtle nest right in front of our house, just saw it tonight. never have seen them hatch but maybe i will keep an eye on this one.

Cyndee.... keep an eye on that nest !!! Is it already staked out by someone? Varmits and critters will dig the eggs up if they smell them. I think that when the Park Service finds a nest, they put a 4"x4" wire screen over it to "deter" the critters and the mesh is big enough for the new hatchlings to get through. Keep us posted on the status!! Heeeyyyyyyyy set up a NEST CAM over it !!! LOL

Nigal, I lived in Tampa from '74 to '82. I can still remember the stench! If you never smelled this stuff before, you have no idea...

Then again, I never smelled carlette's freezer!

Yeah, I bet! Maple's got a compost heap going. I emptied the small container in the big one the other night. Whoa! That baby is getting gamey!

It will work for the new greenhouse in the fall, though...

Good luck with it! Maple's got some sprouts lately. Beans, radish, cucumbers...tomatoes, should be coming up soon, along with the red peppers

We had a bloom here a few years back. It didn't really bug me that much but it sure drove folks away from the beach.

It was really easy to get a table and awesome service at the restaurants around here for a few weeks.
