They took me to the kill floor and explained every executive in the company started there in some capacity. I went over to the trough were the "remains" were going down what looked like a garbage disposal. I said, what do you do with the scraps? Dog Food? The said with a very straight face...."Potted Meat". I didn't take the job.” 11:15:07 AM 6/27/05 “Basiclly anything too nasty to go into a hotdog becomes potted meat. [turning green]” 11:15:10 AM 6/27/05 “Then again, if ya press all that crap into any kind shape like a Vienna sausgae and we're all over that. LOL!” 11:16:51 AM 6/27/05 “Grem are you thinking of "Treasure Island"? My childhood shows were pretty much the same as everyone else's except I wasn't allowed to watch Popeye or Flinstones (had to sneak over to the neighbor kids' for those shows). But what about Brady Bunch, Dukes of Hazzard, A-Team and the Waltons and Little House? I can remember vividly laying on the scarlet shag carpeting in front of the console TV with my brother watching all those shows while mom and dad sat on the mustard yellow, cream and red sofa eatting real popcorn with real butter and drinking real coke out of a glass bottles. Man, I miss pop out of glass bottles.” 11:16:52 AM 6/27/05 11:17:10 AM 6/27/05 “console TV sass? We had a black and white sitting on top of a broken console tv when I was a kid. OH MY GOD!!! it's the funniest thing i've ever seen. i think if i ever watched it while on any drugs, i would be permanently damaged.” 11:40:09 AM 6/27/05 “Movies: Wizard of Oz The Planet of the Apes Willy Wonka The Sound of Music Easy Rider The Ten Commandments Ben Hur Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Robinson Caruso on Mars Soylent Green Fantastic Voyage TV Speed Racer Astro Boy Marine Boy Space Giants Ultra Man The Three Stooges Honeymooners The Partridge Family Brady Bunch Gomer Pyle Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea Lippy the Lion and Hardy Har Har Gene London Mission: Impossible Mod Squad Squiddly Diddly Wally Gator Room 222 The White Shadow” 12:20:47 PM 6/27/05 “stratus - One of your favorite childhood movies was "Easy Rider"? Whoa!” 12:24:20 PM 6/27/05 “Sarge...yeah...I had alot of influence from hanging around older dudes....like my cousins.....my one cousin had this really cool "black light" poster in his room of Peter Fonda on his ride but didn't no what it was about at the time....I just thought it was cool....and then a short while after that I saw the movie and.....boom!!...put 2 and 2 together....the movie came out in '69 but I didn't see it until later on....I was maybe 11 or 12....” 12:31:57 PM 6/27/05 Roller Derby “She was 5 foot, four, and two-fifteen! Get Smart! but the true question which must be answered.... Mary Ann or Ellie May??????? (or the gal on F-Troop” 5:07:16 PM 6/27/05 “We had black and white TV and only three channels so I saw a lot of the same rocks and sticks that Sarge did (and we were thankful too) but I do remember The Brady Bunch and Planet of the Apes on television, as well as Captain Kangaroo and Land of the Lost. We'd also occasionally get a medley of Mr MaGoo cartoons after the afternoon movie. (Remember his politically incorrect Asian housekeeper, Charlie? Always calling him "Missuh MaGloo.") Only movie I remember seeing at the theater was 101 Dalmations.” 5:48:43 PM 6/27/05 “I think the first tv show I remember watching was Romper Room. Then in kindergarten, every day after school I got to watch Bozo's Circus. I even got to attend the show once. After Bozo was nap time. The first movie I saw in the theater was Benjii. That damn dog never stopped running! The first time I got to go to a movie with an adult chaperone was ..... hmmmmm, I can't remember the name. It's on the tip of my tongue. Help me out here. It's not been mentioned yet, but it came out around the time of Herbie. Something with "gang" in the title? Was Ben Knotts in it? I can't remember exactly, but as soon as someone says the title, I'll know it. There was lots of slapstick humor. Now this is starting to bug me.” 6:01:15 PM 6/27/05 “The Apple Dumpling Gang?” 6:02:29 PM 6/27/05 “YES! That's it! Thank you.” 6:03:19 PM 6/27/05 “I remember that one and The Shaggy D.A. The only other movie I saw at the theater was Moby Dick and we were all shocked (but felt really old and cool) because at the end of the movie the captain said the word "damn" before he went under, LOL. (sheltered life)” 6:07:43 PM 6/27/05
