Me too, Nonconformist. I wasn't allowed to watch Electric Company because they said "shut up."

OOooooo, another memory:

Every Saturday night, my mom would make her fanastic homemade pizza while all of us kids took a bath. Then we would sit in the living room eating pizza while we watched The Muppet Show. I sure miss The Muppet Show.

My dad was the pizza maker in our house! Remember Morgan Freeman as "Easy Reader" on the Electric Company? (come on, I KNOW you used to watch it when mom and dad were gone.)

I miss fresh fruit. WE had blackberry's, plums & golden delicious apples in our yard. Wild strawberries in the grass & blueberries in the higher spots. There was an apple orchard behind my back yard & a peach ordhard across the street. The farmer left one tree for the kids & we gorged ourselves with juice dripping down our shirts. I've never been able to eat store bought peaches or apples since.

In my county we have the largest growers of strawberries east of the Mississippi and we had some fresh strawberries this weekend. You never remember how bad fruit from Krogers is until ya have fresh. It's kind of like having no problem with instant pudding until ya have the cook and serve with the skin on top.

One of my favorite movies when I was a kid was "Mighty Joe Young" (the original version). I just loved that big ape :-)

TV shows I watched were "My Friend Flicka" and "Fury." I was one of those girls who loved horses.

In reading over these posts, it's interesting to see all the age groups here. They become apparent with everyone's differing tastes.

BTW, 'Get Smart' rocks!! C'mon, how can you go wrong with a Mel Brooks/Buck Henry creation?

Hey Sass, just because I put a big rubber band around my testicals and whip my bare back while playing with my Vikie action figure (not a doll!) doesn't mean I lust after her. It's a perfectly healthy outlet.

We didn't see a lot of movies when I was a kid, but I can could kill Matt's server by listing TV shows I loved as a kid.

Transfomers, GI Joe, Knight Rider, A Team, Fall Guy (anyone else remember that?), Captain Kangaroo & 321 Contact as a little kid, Dukes of Hazzard, Sledge Hammer, Smokey and the Bandit and just about any Saturday morning cartoon.

Oh, and the cartoons on a Saturday suck now! :)
