Well, it's done and gone. And yes, we all got lost again, just like last year. Good times. I'm making a webpage of my pics now and will write the TR tonight.

I got a great photo of Refrigerator laying in Red Creek.

After the wine started flowing around the campsite, Refrigerator and Calm Spirits were dinging each other back and forth with verbal sparring better than Ralph Kramden and Alice Kramden did on the old 1956 televsion series, The Honeymooners.

Last year we didn't get lost but tried to make a short cut where there was no trail.

MISTAKE! Very rocky and thickety.

At least we didn't blow up from the stray bombs.

Psst, Dub...
You forgot to mention Petersburg in your nearby towns, a fairly large town about 10 miles due east of the sods, probably closer than Elkins, Harman, or Seneca Rocks...

Good pictures everyone.

Can someone identify this snake?

I thought a Copperhead but it didn't act like one. This guy was pissed, striking at me for just standing there. He was on the trail just after you crossed Red creek on the Dobbin Grade Trail sunday morning.

My little hike report. I started hiking about 4 sat afternoon on the Bear Rock Trail. I didn't see any turn offs and the next thing I know I'm on the Dobbins Grade Trail. I roasted for a good hour till I got into the trees closer to the Rocky Ridge Trail. On the ROcky Ridge Trail I came across a couple and their two dogs. I asked them if they have seen a group of about 10 people. They said no but they heard them, down by Red Creek. I said that's them. I came down on the Harman Trail where I came across about 8 deer along the way. I soon smelled smoke and heard everyone down in the vally. Came across two guys hammocking on the trail and asked if they were part of the group, they said no but pointed me in the right direction. Got to the campsite and meet everyone and enjoyed the campfire. What parts of each other were Calm Spirits and The Frig going to sew shut? hehe.

The next morning I got up and headed out early as that I needed to check out the campground at Big Bend.
I went back to where the two guys were camped out and they had their Hammocks right on the trail. There was some kind of a trail going towards the left on the other side of the creek. I didn't think that looked right so I went back and asked the two guys and the trail went straight up the hill from the creek. At the top I turned off onto the Upper Creek Trail which was the best trail I hiked on this weekend. . No mud and few rocks and hardly any erosion. Saw one deer on this trail. I stopped for water from a spring just before this trail came back down to the Dobbins Grade trail. Crossed Red Creek, found the snake and roasted again till I came to the Beaver Dam trail which I took to the road and road walked the 2 miles or so back to my truck. I went over and checked out Bear Rocks. On the drive back down the road Dub came walking out so I picked him up and drove him back to the trail head. And then here comes the Prosecuter down the road. Sorry, I thought only Dub was coming up that way.

I brought my winter and summer bag and chose to packed my summer bag since it was at least 80 at the trail head. Wrong choice as I got cold sat night. Prosecuter said it got down into the low 40's.

Driving back acorss on 19 I realized just how little I saw of this area, maybe a quater of it.

Okay Prosecutor? The picture of me ? Where is it?
Trekkerjohn, thanks for the rock and stickers, when hikerhead made it to camp #2 and told me I had a rock in my dash, I first farted, then realized it must be the rock I ask you for, wehhuuu I thought someone threw a rock threw my window.

Prosecutor , watching you prepare your meals gives me confidence in changing my trail meals. Thanks for your input. I will send you an e mail , I would love to have any recipes you wish to share. Thanks again.

Dub , thanks for the trip and bringing your friends, good people.
Phantom, it's always good to see you. You have lost weight! That live in roommate is doing a fine job.hehehe!!!!

My wife and I have never hiked together with others , so she was a little reluctant, but all of you made her feel like a team member, Thanks too all of you. Now she has said to me she wants to do another trip with TTer's

awesome pics, thanks again.

I want to know if that was a light weight cast iron hiking skillet that Prosecuter was using.

Someone tell what kind of snake that is up above.

Frig I'm getting ready to call you.

HikerHead, it was a GSI 8″ Camp Gourmet Hard Anodized Extreme Fry Pan.

But Refrigerator, did Calm Spirits say she wants to do another TT trip "with you"?

That's what I thought it was.

That pancake you had going sure looked good. I thought about telling you that those two guys down the trail wanted to talk to you for a second. That's how long it would have taken for that pancake to disappear. hehe

Cranberry pancakes with pure maple syrup is tops for breakfast. You must use a thicker pan for pancakes like the GSI skillet. Do not try to fry a pancake on a titanium skillet. They will stick 100% of the time and turn into "scrambled pancakes".
