peregrine falcon

“I noticed an uptick in falcon sightings outside my window. They look like gunmetal grey sharks (with buff undersides) cruising sky between my building and park.

On spec I googled for the Travelers Tower falcons, and checked the website:

2005 June 17 - The Hartford chicks fledged on Friday and were seen flying in the Hartford area and landing on other buildings.

2005 May 27 - Amelia's chicks have moved outside the nest box to a location out of view from the Web cams. They are well, however, and have taken up station under FalconCam # 1 and are getting flying lessons! The chicks have been spotted observing Amelia and her mate circling the Tower.



So .. ..it is not just that I am seeing the same two falcons more often . . ..I've got the whole family crusing by!!!!!

“I only read a little. One died I think about (edit) 6 days ago.

I've gone out and watched them before amongst some bird watchers. Very interesting stuff.
