Yellowstone National Park

“I am trying to get a road trip approved through my work to get a few staff and a few clients to go to Yellowstone in September.

We will be camping along parks on the road trip there and then staying near or in Yellowstone for about 2 or 3 days..... depending on how quick we get there. It's all still in the works right now.

Any good tips?”

“Be sure the staff and clients are at least familar with camping. This especially goes for the clients. If they have a different expectation of what the experience will be and it doesn't meet that expectation then you'll be miserable trying to jump through hoops.”

“Yes, they have been on several camping trips with me in primitive sites... most recently this past Mon to Tues. We will have a big meeting before this trip takes place.”

I'd try and get a handle on how much each person has traveled. If not much, then I'd try and pick a really unique local flavor type of place to camp as I headed west. This is really where TT could come in for you. If you know roughly where you'll be after 10 hrs of driving then through it out here for local ideas. Do the same after 10 more hrs,.....”

it's a mental health agency.... which makes it even more interesting!!!
we do a lot of socialization activities and i've been doing a lot of camping activities as of late.”

“Don't waste time at Mammoth Hot Springs. They are nothing like they were 20 years ago... now dried up for the most part.”

If 4-5 total days of driving time killed the deal then pick something with a day each way or even half a day of driving time.
