“Treebeard - A telephone call or two might get you that information. And you might be able to find a place open for observation. From the links information should be flowing around the time of impact. NASA will be holding a press conference during the action(see links).

I believe it might be visible with binoculars.

They were talking about this on the news this morning and they said the only way to see it is at an observatory on the west coast or Hawaii.”
