I kinda thought that might be the case since your knee only hurt on the downhills. That just makes you a Northeast Hiker. All us northeasters feel those dreaded downhills.” 9:14:55 PM 7/06/05 “I have a rash on my legs, but it doesn't itch. I am not sure if it is from extensive sweating or from poison oak/ivy. I've never really gotten it in the past. thanks for the elevation gain/loss figures Pennsy! Man, looking back, what an awesome trip that was.” 9:19:24 PM 7/06/05 “Yankee trails are steeper than rebel trails” 9:20:23 PM 7/06/05 “yeah...now I need to move up north huh? LOL... yeah...slightly inflamed I think that's what he said. so, did you write a note in the package on how much $$?? did you decide yet?” 9:20:35 PM 7/06/05 I would definitely say that “several of the climbs and drops on the Loyalsock Trail give the Devils Path a run for its money.” 9:21:49 PM 7/06/05 “oh come one guys.... it wasn't THAT bad... ROFLMAO...*running for cover* okay...I am on drugs right now...I can say what I wanna say! :-P Yes, it was that bad! LOL Still loving it thou.” 9:28:30 PM 7/06/05 Hey ENS “Camp was Great. I actually had the chance to do two day hikes. All in all I bagged 4 peaks (on two Mountains) over 3000 feet. Ill post a small thread later in the week describing it. Bench Mt. 3129 High Knoll 3267 (and two lesser over 3000)” 9:32:58 PM 7/06/05 “looking forward to it jack” 9:35:00 PM 7/06/05 “Yo boys and girls....a little birdy told me to check this thread out....but I was a little reluctant to leave the those tasty waves and bikinis behind....nothing like 2 Piece CandyLand........wow!!!!....you guys are sooooo awesome.....nicely done....hmmmm....aahhh...wait a second....Help me out man Yo ENS....I hear you're going to the beach?.....baggin' sand dunes? no way man....really? knock yourself out...whatever makes your putter flutter man....like which beach? Maybe we could hook up....you ever bodyboard? I got an extra board with your name on it..... Gem....btw....did I ever tell that...oh you already know.....luv ya gurly....peace out.... Haystacks Calhoun??? ha ha ha....crackin' me up......right along with Gorilla Monsoon.....” 9:47:44 PM 7/06/05 come on man “no offense Strat, but why do you have to stir shiit up? You know that post comes off as offensive. You want to know why? Because I like the smell of my armpits after climbing 1000 feet in a mile and after a long 20 mile day on a hot day. A: Hiking is a sport! It is a sport. Hiking is a SPORT. B: I enjoy the scenery along the trail and stop everytime I see something I see or think is cool. If you don't believe me, look at my webshots. I take a million pics on hikes. C. I like the challenge. The more the challenge, the more I enjoy it. D. Why justify?” 10:02:27 PM 7/06/05 “seriously, hike the way you want to hike. Get out of hiking what you want to hike. Don't criticize or question some else's reasons for doing it. I admire everyone's reasons for hiking. Everyone has their own reasons. I'm glad you and your little birdie get out on the trail, river and surfboard. I wish everyone got out and enjoyed what nature had to offer. If everyone did that, the world wouldn't be in the deep shist it is in right now. We had a super fun time this past weekend. We really enjoyed ourselves, the trail and the scenery, as well as the solitude. We set out with a goal and had a weekend to accomplish it and did it and now it is done. Why do runners run marathons? Why is it in human nature to desire to be challenged, both physically and mentally? It is simple, it is our nature, it spurns us on, drives us. It's a good thing. I wanted to share my experiences, as well as the groups with the rest of the hikers, including you and stik, because it was a great experience. If you don't like the way I hike, that is fine, I don't mind. We get different things out of the trail. I don't criticize anyone else's reasons for hiking. I am encouraged by anyone who enjoys and shares the trail. We all have a unique bond. Please don't flame this thread.” 10:23:33 PM 7/06/05 as Johnny storm would say... “FLAME ON!!! and as Mr Ben Grimm would say... "Its CLOBBERIN time!!!"” 10:28:30 PM 7/06/05 “anyway, I'm not interested. I'm off to the Adirondacks. See ya'll later. Have a great weekend.” 10:45:09 PM 7/06/05 “"Haystacks Calhoun?? LOL! Wasn't he a pro wrestler from way way way back?" Ha ha, Pennsy........you win the golden trivia award! Remember Bobo Brazil?? I think Gorilla Monsoon is hittin' the Gulf Coast right about now.” 7:55:01 AM 7/07/05 “Mark, sometime you should come up and we can do a section of the Loyalsock Trail. Camp at the waterfall site at Rodes Falls on Kechum Run. I think you would really like the Loyalsock Trail. There is a lot of high Plateau Hiking, not nearly as high as WV, but still cool scenery.” 8:01:20 AM 7/07/05 “Yes, my brother. To my great shame I did no backpacking in June. It's lumberzac's fault......Jack 'n Jill wedding shower indeed!!!” 8:10:04 AM 7/07/05 “Bobo Brazil!!! ha ha ha.....didn't he do the ye ole coconut head butt routine for his patented move?? How about Baron Miguel Secluna from the Isle of Malta.....I don't think he ever won a match.....I always liked the "foreign objects" he hid in his tights.....he he....funny stuff..... Anywho..... Yo Rob....settle down big fella.....yer gonna give yerself indigestion over nothing.....I would venture to guess that whatever I might write, you will either ignore or find fault and attack....dude.....like....hear me out....you got to let it go man and learn to forgive and forget.....you know what I speak of and release the hate you have towards me......you are a good man with an honest heart but misguided my friend....you allow yourself to be constricted by these trival matters.... BTW....how come you don't invite me to a hike on the Loyalsock? I feel slighted man...that ain't right....and afterall the hardship I went through to personally hand craft the "Land O Lakes Bust-a-Nut Award" just for you.....where is the love man? Peace out.....joe” 8:34:49 AM 7/07/05 ““Yes, my brother. To my great shame I did no backpacking in June. It's lumberzac's fault......Jack 'n Jill wedding shower indeed!!!” MarkO 9:10:04 AM 7/07/05 ignore this user Blame my cousin. It was his damn party.” 8:43:54 AM 7/07/05 “Hahahahahahahaha!!!!! So Gem set up the hammock better than ENS ? Hmmmm. Pennsy hiked in cold beer ? Trip report was excelent.
